Testimonios

If your goal is multiple species and larger fish, the High Parana is the best place to make a cast. Dorado, Pacu, and Pira Pita tend to be larger here than other areas, and the often clear waters of this tailwater provide site fishing opportunities; an unusual find on a river of this size.

I have fished this river with Ricardo Pinto and his guide staff since 2006.  "Pinti" was the first to develop a fly fishing venue on this vast fishery.  Unlike many areas where fishing declines after discovery, the fishing here keeps getting better, due both to better fishery management by the province of Corrientes and the guide's increasing knowledge of the fishery.

I have been all over Argentina and this is the place I keep returning.  It does not hurt that the best meal I have had in Argentina was at Amokagny, his lodge on the river's edge.  We continue to send clients, and like me, they continue to return year after year.  I will be down in March of 2018, hosting yet another trip and enjoying the fishing and hospitality.  I am happy to share any information that might help other fly fishers.
